Glazed stoneware・Wood-fired

The lone point on the lid’s finial, adds to the architecture of this vessel. Iron-rich grog mixed into the clay body rises to the surface of the glaze, expressing in a constellation of dark freckles. A tightly fitting lid, glazed interior, and honeycombed filter beneath the spout allow for quick, clean pouring.
With use, oils from tea will create a deepened color and luster on this pot's glazed surface. Signed by the artist.
