An engrossing texture of thickly applied shino glaze draws the hand to the surface of this tactile tea bowl from Taiwanese potter, Zhang Yun Cheng. Mounds and crevices break at random, a map of small trails for fingers to follow. Quick strokes iron oxide highlight the rim, breaking through the pillows of white glaze, pooling here and there in a concentrated constellation of burnt umbers.

Usage and care: To wash, simply rinse between uses or hand scrub with mild detergent.
