Glazed stoneware・5 day wood-fired
Liao Guo Hua’s Ash teapots are crafted from an oxide-rich American clay, then partially coated in black glaze. Vitrified fly ash on the top surfaces of these teapots add dimension and contrast. Each is hand-formed, and fired in a wood-kiln for 5 days.
This particular teapot has a unique and beautiful chartreuse highlight - a result of the interplay between glaze and ash. The interior is lightly glazed. The pot body is slightly elongated. A round contrasting finial graces the lid.
Usage and care: Hand-wash with water only.
