Despite the ethereal nature of Taiwanese potter Liao Guo Hua’s signature glaze work, the forms of his vessels are distinctly geometric. A firm line of a spout, a pronounced hip, or the perfect symmetry of its finial, it’s this tension between hard and soft, delicate and defined, organic and geometric, that lies at the crux of all Liao Guo Hua’s work.

In this piece, the glaze hugs the form of the pot tightly, mirror-like and reflective. Paired with the fine lines of the vessel, this surface keeps the eye engaged, circling the work again and again, intent on discovering the secrets beneath its surface.

Usage and care: This interior-glazed teapot is suitable for use with all tea types. Simply rinse between uses or hand-wash with mild detergent. A built-in strainer allows for easy brewing and quick, clean evacuation.
