Originally, takatsuki (tall cup) was a pottery with raised legs used for offerings. The height of the legs of the high cup is said to represent respect for the gods.
Oribe ware is a creative pottery produced in the eastern part of the Mino region. Especially towards the end of the Muromachi period (1336-1573), Oribe ware began to produce ceramics for the tea ceremony.
The signature is its deep green glaze. This beautiful glaze adds to the nobility of this pottery.
